The name ‘Elena’ derives from Greek mythology. Zeus’ daughter went by the name of Elena and was kidnapped, thus starting a great war.
Elena Gilbert has battled calamity after calamity. She and her brother Jeremy lost their parents Miranda and Grayson a few months prior and since their untimely deaths, everything has seemed to spiral out of control. Elena is currently entangled in a centuries old love triangle that originated with her ancestor Katherine Pierce, as well as, the Salvatore brothers Damon and Stefan. Recently, Katherine has stormed back into town and done her very best to wreak havoc. Not to mention, her best friend Caroline is acting particularly sketchy and something tells Elena it’s not just heightened emotions..To add to the angst, Elena has recently learned that her being a doppelgänger makes her an asset to many supernatural creatures. A slew of Originals have waltzed into town for that precise reason and Elena will have to confront newfound terrors she never imagined. But, she has her two Salvatores right in arms reach, right?
But, what will happen when vampire after vampire attempts to take control of this precious doppelgänger?
Due to the appearance of Katherine and her threats, Elena had to put an abrupt end to her relationship with Stefan Salvatore; which also forced her to begin to confront her burgeoning feeling for his eldest sibling, Damon. Damon has expressed an undeniable interest, even love in Elena; but, due to his recent behavior and actions, is there any hope for them?
Will Elena ever make her choice?
And, will she be alive to even make one?
